League Classic Guides
Choose the right route
League Classic places several progression systems beside one another, but they answer different questions. Use Missions when you need to know what the client is asking you to do now. Use the Progression hub when you are trying to understand Classic Level, permanent unlocks, or Summoner's Journey. Open Pass & Rewards for the seasonal coin track and its deadline. Use the Council hub only for confirmed voting information and published outcomes. Keeping these jobs separate prevents a pass tier, a Classic Level reward, and a Journey Emblem from being treated as the same kind of progress.
- MissionsCheck active objectives, mission types, and client-first verification guidance.
- ProgressionUnderstand Classic Level, Summoner’s Journey, unlocks, and where each system fits.
- Pass & RewardsSeparate the permanent level track from seasonal pass coins, tiers, and deadlines.
- CouncilFollow confirmed voting dates, live status, rules, and published outcomes.
A reliable first-session plan
Begin in the live League client rather than with a third-party reward image. Open the League Classic area, read the current notices, and check which missions and seasonal panels are actually visible for your region and patch. Play enough to understand the live ruleset before optimizing a checklist. After the match, revisit the client and note what changed: Classic XP, a mission counter, pass coins, or another clearly labelled system. This small before-and-after check is more dependable than assuming that every progress bar advances from the same activity.
Next, identify one permanent goal and one time-limited goal. Classic Level is the permanent free 0–30 track described by Riot Support, while the Classic Pass is seasonal and should be planned around its published end date. If you have reached Classic Level 10, Summoner's Journey becomes a separate performance track with five placement matches. You do not need to chase every system in one sitting. A focused session might complete an active mission, record one pass milestone, and then stop without losing track of the permanent path.
For a full walkthrough, read the League Classic Beginner Guide. It turns this route into a step-by-step plan and explains which information should always be rechecked in the client.
How the progression systems connect
Classic matches and Classic Missions award Classic XP toward Classic Level. Riot's published progression table is the source of truth for level requirements and rewards, so our Classic Levels guide presents the verified table rather than an estimated per-game rate. At Level 10, Summoner's Journey unlocks. It starts with five placements and then uses the Salt, Wood, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Legend Emblems. That track is not modern Ranked and it is not the seasonal pass.
The seasonal Classic Pass uses coins and tiers. Because seasonal dates, prices, and rewards can expire or change, consult the current pass page before planning a grind. The Council is different again: it is a community decision system whose ballot options and exact live status must come from official announcements or the client. The site labels dates and outcomes conservatively instead of presenting speculation as a live vote.
Verify changing information before you act
A useful League Classic guide must distinguish stable rules from changing event details. Stable explanations can describe what Classic Level or Summoner's Journey is. Changing details include active missions, pass deadlines, prices, reward inventories, Council ballot options, and regional availability. On those topics, use the current client first and compare it with the dated source and verification label shown on each page.
If the client disagrees with a page, do not force the page's older number into your plan. Check the page's last verified date, follow its official source link, and send a correction through our Contact page. This editorial rule is why provisional drafts do not appear in this directory. It is better to publish fewer verified instructions than to pad the index with guessed mission names or obsolete reward tables.
Plan progress without sending account data
The Progress Tracker is a device-local checklist for organizing tasks from the guide pages. It does not sign in to your Riot account and does not upload your checklist to this site. Use it to remember what you personally completed, not as proof that the live client awarded a reward. For dates, the Timeline Planner helps put announced milestones in order, but the official client remains authoritative for availability and expiration.
A practical weekly review takes only a few minutes: reopen the current mission and pass pages, compare their verification dates with the client, remove expired goals, and choose the next one or two actions. This keeps the plan useful without turning play into an unverified spreadsheet of estimated rates.

Common planning mistakes
- Using an undated social post as proof of a current mission or reward.
- Confusing Classic Level, Summoner's Journey, and the Classic Pass.
- Planning around an estimated earn rate that Riot has not published.
- Treating an announced Council date as proof that a ballot is already open.
- Assuming the local Tracker changes or reads your Riot account.
